Established in 2021, ZIA offers engineering, interconnection, and construction management services to developers of utility-scale solar, wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within the United States. Under the ownership of Micah Nichols, an experienced renewable energy professional, the company has a track record of successfully executed projects throughout the United States. ZIA has expanded its offerings to include consulting services for developers, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and structured finance entities.

Micah Nichols has a rich background in project management, consulting, and senior management roles, contributing to the success of projects for clients such as EDF Renewables, Golden Spread Electric Coop, Samsung Heavy Industries, Longroad Energy, Lightsource BP Energy, Engie, Caprock Renewables, Tesla, Liberty Utilities, Xcel Energy, State of Colorado, the Department of Energy, Sandia National Laboratory, the BLM, and the Department of Homeland Security.

ZIA's mission is to offer development solutions that enhance the efficiency, value, and quality of projects in sectors that typically do not require full-time staff. For instance, ZIA can manage the interconnection process, which usually includes varying periods of active work and waiting for studies and engineering, all at a competitive monthly flat rate. Additionally, ZIA provides support with site selection and technology assessment on an hourly basis. Moreover, ZIA's expertise is available to assist in the EPC request for proposal (RFP) process and in selecting EPC services for an hourly rate.
